Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: I am with Jason Statham for stability

Saturday 21 September 2013

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has confessed the main reason she’s still with her lover Jason Statham is for ‘stability’ in Hollywood.

‘Many models are in long-term relationships for stability. Admittedly, not always with great men, but it gives them something to come home to, something grounding. That’s how I see my relationship,’ said the 26-year-old face of Marks & Spencer.

She says the 45-year-old Fast & Furious 6 star is nice to have at home on the couch ‘when the shit hits the fan’.

The leggy beauty said she needed plenty of cuddles after she tried to get into social networking only to be savaged by trolls.
‘I read everything on the internet and I got destroyed by it. I panicked. I was unhappy because I was nervous and insecure, so I cut it off. Today I am in a healthier and happier place,’ she told Elle magazine.

Defending her aloof reputation, the pouty blonde explained: ‘I can see why people think models come across as a little cold. When you start out you’re so young you don’t have a voice. Everyone just tells you what to do and you can end up abroad in the middle of nowhere, with no one speaking English. It is very lonely… You develop a thick skin to protect yourself. Now I am 26, when I come on a set, I can say what I think and my opinions are noted. I’ve grafted hard to be here.’

‘In fact, Rosie just got back from spending the weekend with Jason on the set of his new movie. They have actually never been happier.’
